In the style of Schoolhouse Rock!, students produce songs to enhance a life sciences unit. Through the process of research and lyric writing, students gain a deeper understanding of content, and text becomes more accessible. Using well-known tunes, students write original lyrics about plants, animals, and the food chain. Songs are brought to life when performed in front of painted backdrops and accompanied by student-inspired choreography.
