The Importance of Modeling and Authentic Assessment

In this session, we’ll cover two important topics: the importance of modeling (live and finished demos, using professional art as an instrument of dialogue and comprehension, rather than something to be imitated) and authentic assessment. From there, we will dive into authentic assessment, which examines the skills and enduring application of obtained curricular knowledge. This will include determining student capacity, scaffolding, and different methods of measurement.
